Production Operator - 10-month Fixed-Term

We’re looking for a Production Operator to join our team on a fixed-term basis for 10 months to cover parental leave.

As a wine bottling Production Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our wine bottling production line. You will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of quality and productivity while adhering to safety protocols. Attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Some key responsibilities include

• Operate and monitor the wine bottling production line, including labelling, filling, and capping processes
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct quality checks at regular intervals to ensure the wine meets our high standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues that may arise during the production process
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch numbers, quantities, and any deviations from standard procedures
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and ensure smooth workflow

Your hours will be 40 hours over any five days of the week, but there may be additional hours (including during weekends and on statutory and other holidays).

• Previous experience in a production line environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining production line machinery
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain quality control
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
• Good mechanical aptitude
