Production Support Engineer

The role

As the Production Support Engineer you will be part of the Engineering Team at Goodnature, which is responsible for maintaining all engineering systems required to achieve a constantly improving manufacturing process for all Goodnature products. This responsibility encompasses all assembly and engineering processes, quality systems and testing systems.

As the Production Support Engineer you will have a primary focus on supporting Goodnature’s lean production system.  While managing the maintenance plan and being the first contact to rectify issues with production equipment, this role offers opportunities to work on projects that improve product quality as well as increasing production efficiency, capacity & resilience.

It's a hands on role that involves thinking creatively and strategically about how to constantly improve all aspects of the system (People, Product, Process and Planet).  Expect to be operating between office and workshop, with a mix of strategic projects that may involve CAD, design, research, prototyping, testing and some admin along with reactive projects and production demands requiring making and fitting of parts and equipment with some time pressure.

About you

You will ideally have experience within an R&D focused manufacturing company, be a problem solver & a maker with an eye for detail and be a great collaborator.

Key skills & attributes:

• Engineering Degree, Diploma or Trade Certificate
• Manufacturing experience is a must.
• Experience with building and servicing assembly machines.
• Experience in using measuring tools.
• Competence using CAD.
• Workshop experience.
• Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities.
• Interest in technology and understanding of LEAN manufacturing.
• Experience with pneumatics is desirable.
• Experience in mechatronics and programming is also desirable.
• Competence using common Google apps.
