Production Technician (Parental cover)

Māori for ‘understanding’, AROA is proudly New Zealand born and based. Our specialized range of soft tissue repair products utilizes our successful Endoform Extracellular Matrix (ECM) biomaterial, and is sourced exclusively from NZ pasture-raised animals.

We are seeking two Production Technicians on fixed term contracts, to provide support while we have team members on parental leave. 

As a Production Technician at AROA, you will be responsible for preparing and packaging our leading wound care devices. As part of the team who will be ensuring the final construction, packing and quality control of our devices, you're the final step before our product is packed and shipped to your customers! This means you play a key role in ensuring what is delivered to our patients meets AROA's standards.

This role has a morning, day and afternoon shift rotations from Monday to Friday (and very occasional weekend work). The ability to work across the different shifts is a must, but you'll be advised well in advance of any shift changes!

Key responsibilities:

• Perform manufacturing and production activities of AROAs medical devices, in accordance with good distribution and manufacturing practices (GMP and GDP)


• Perform regular inspections to ensure product quality and consistency


• Complete and review batch records and logs as required


• Maintain up to date training records


• Proactively participate in all Health & Safety initiatives, including improvements and engagement activities

What you’ll bring!

We’ll teach you everything you need to know! All you need is a positive mindset, the willingness to learn, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Some areas of the facility are more physically demanding than others, so a reasonably good level of physical fitness is necessary as you'll need to lift up to 20kg and also perform some tasks standing throughout parts of your day.

Other beneficial skills and experiences include:

• Strong attention to detail


• Experience in a manufacturing environment or operational experience in a similar GMP regulated role is preferred, but not essential


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Based in Airport Oaks with easy access to the motorway, there is plenty of parking available around our offices.
