Clinical Programme Lead

Full Time (1FTE) Permanent

Position Purpose:

The Clinical Program Lead is responsible for leading the implementation of Clinical Services across the Southern district and will provide day to day management and leadership to the services including related planning, coordination, implementation, support, and evaluation.

 

The Clinical Programme Lead will provide operational management of the designated teams as well as high quality information, communications, interaction, support and service to internal and external stakeholders, as well as support in managing operational resources.

 

Working in partnership with the Clinical Services Manager, NGO partners, clinical and other staff they will contribute to strategic and operational management in a way that is consistent with the organization’s vision and values.

 

The lead is responsible for service delivery processes, activity monitoring, human resource management, quality and risk management, credentialing and audit for all disciplines, certification and accreditation, clinical pathway development and other service improvements within the service.

The CPL will work with the Clinical Services Manager to develop new programmes in response to service needs and national or local direction. 

 

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with annual practicing certificate

Professional Experience – Kā tautōhito

 

  • Proven ability in a senior or leadership capacity to successfully manage relationships with diverse range of people.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated and proven ability to lead teams in a clinical environment and through a period of change and growth
  • Knowledge of primary health services, health and disability sector, general practice capabilities and NGO networks.
  • Experience in managing contracts, budgets and staff.
  • Extensive experience in and knowledge of clinical quality, safety and best practice.
  • Awareness and understanding of the implications of the Treaty of Waitangi to WellSouth as a public health organization
