About this role | Kō tēnei tūranga mahi
We are seeking a Projects Adviser to provide support to our roading and transport team, acting as an advisory for projects ranging from bridges to retaining structures.
Responsibilities include (although aren't limited to)
- Designing, administering, supervising and reporting on projects including producing design and construction drawings, documentation and cost estimations.
- Manage consultants and/or contractors ensuring that completion is on time, on budget and to the required standard
- Liasion and communication with local community groups and interested parties
- Provide advice and recommendations to improve compliance
- Produce and issue contract construction documentation including technical specifications and schedules of quantities
- Mentoring of junior team members.
About you | Ko ngā pūmanawa ōu
- You will have and understanding of relevant legislation, codes and standards, as well as proven construction experience.
- You will be technically competent to understand and produce engineering designs, drawings and reports.
- Solid experience in Project Management, Contract management and Stakeholder management
- You will have knowledge of NZTA Bridge specifications, or a willingness to learn.
- You will hold and NZCE, Registered Engineering Associate or a relevant qualification.
- Level 1 STMS or inspector would be beneficial.
- Structural Engineering qual would also be beneficial.
