Project Analyst - Rapid Progression

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for someone who is motivated by the positive outcomes of providing timely and useful data and analysis to improve project health and efficiencies. Supported by a finance team including Senior Project Analyst, Finance Manager and CFO, this role will cover accounts payable processing, as well as supporting the continuous improvement of project management within the business. Our Auckland office is in the hub of Takapuna, close to the beach, lake, shopping precinct and eateries. 

Some responsibilities of the role will include:

• Review and analyse data in our project management software (Total Synergy) to produce meaningful information for project managers, team leaders and management.
• Monthly and weekly reporting responsibilities.
• Assisting project managers to interpret and understand the data provided.
• Make recommendations on ways to improve project health and identify critical areas of concern.
• Job setup, project maintenance and timesheet follow up.
• Accounts payable processing and related tasks.
• Other administrative tasks such as oversight of the Admin mailbox. 

ABOUT YOU

• You have relevant experience of project data analysis.
• You have experience in a consultancy environment and within our industry – or relevant transferrable skills that could be adapted.
• You are well organised and have a desire to learn the business from a detail-oriented perspective, with the ability to also understand the bigger picture. 

Key skills: 

• Strong data analysis skills.
• Understanding of project management.
• Well-versed in the use of MS Excel and experience with other relevant software, such as Power BI.
• Great communicator – both verbal and written.
• Effective at establishing productive and meaningful professional relationships.
• Problem solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the solution.
• Research and reporting skills.
• Accurate, efficient, and able to prioritise effectively.
