Seeking an energetic and committed individual with a passion for improving cancer outcomes for all New Zealanders. Based in Christchurch you will support the Southern Regional Hub Manager and a small team.

Te Aho o Te Kahu – the Cancer Control Agency, is seeking a Christchurch-based team player with proven ability to juggle a significant workload and manage changing priorities.
The Agency provides national leadership for and oversight of cancer control.
Te Aho o Te Kahu takes a whole-of-system focus on preventing and managing cancer and oversees system-wide prioritisation and coordination of cancer care in New Zealand. It is accountable for ensuring transparency of progress towards the goals and outcomes in the National Cancer Action Plan. Te Aho o Te Kahu is equity-led, knowledge-driven, person/whānau-centred and outcomes focused.

Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do
In this role, you will have responsibility for providing high quality project coordination and administrative support for your team and across other workstreams as required. You'll be confident to actively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders both internally and externally. A typical day's work might range from booking flights for the team, to working alongside a meeting Chairperson to draft an agenda, and coordinating project activities for example project documentation.
Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako – Skills & Experience:
Project coordination skills and experience, ideally in a health service environment, providing support to several individuals or concurrent projects
Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite and familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint/Teams
Ability to manage own workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
Governance knowledge and previous experience in secretariat duties
Organiser extraordinaire, strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
