A successful project coordinator at First Light needs to share in our culture of learning about retail/ ecommerce and surrounding technology to help us all build knowledge and flow this value to our customers.  Having some existing contextual knowledge of Shopify (or other retail/ ecom systems) is beneficial, as is experience in a business with inventory. This role will be suited to someone who may have run projects internally or in a services/ agency style operation.

Role description:

Project Planning and Scoping:

Assist with initial client meetings to understand project requirements.

Help break down project requirements into manageable tasks and create a project schedule.

Estimate project timelines and resource allocation (e.g. developer hours).

Maintain/ coordinate project documentation, including plans, schedules, and resource allocation.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

Assign tasks to developers and other team members based on their skills and availability.

Track project progress against the plan and identify potential roadblocks.

Manage risks and issues that arise during the project.

Monitor project budget and ensure it stays on track.

Communication and Reporting:

Facilitate communication between clients, developers, and other stakeholders.

Prepare regular project status reports for clients, keeping them informed of progress and any changes.

Manage client expectations and address any concerns promptly.

Coordinate meetings (e.g., kick-off meetings, status updates).

Additional Responsibilities:

Maintain project management tools.

May handle administrative tasks related to the project, such as procurement or expense management.

Stay up-to-date on project management methodologies and best practices.
