Our client is a construction consultancy firm specialising in providing end-to-end support across the project lifecycle, encompassing planning, design, and delivery. They prioritise delivering tailored advice that meets the specific needs of asset owners and their advisors. The Role:
Currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to come on board as an Associate in their Tauranga office. The successful candidate will engage in a dynamic mix of long-term project delivery and shorter-term constructability advice assignments. Working across various infrastructure projects including bridges, roads, buildings, rail, tunnels, and more, you'll play a pivotal role in providing strategic insights and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with asset owners and designers to provide input across all project phases, from planning to delivery.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, assessing construction cost, methods, time, and risks.
- Develop and evaluate different construction methodologies, cost estimates, and construction risks.
- Manage project delivery aspects including project and design management, tendering, contract administration, and site oversight.
- Support business development initiatives by fostering client relationships, contributing to the overall business strategy, and identifying growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- CPEng qualified or actively working towards this.
- 8-12 years of experience in the construction industry with a solid background in horizontal infrastructure/water projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of design and design management processes.
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills with clear written and oral communication abilities.
