Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

• Strategically plan and implement landfill and site development projects.
• Coordinate audits, airspace reports, and construction modelling for landfill and transfer stations.
• Prepare Whole-of-Life estimates and infrastructure plans.
• Manage capital expenditure applications and monitor budgets.
• Develop pre-construction estimates, pricing, and costed schedules of quantities.
• Prepare contract documentation, technical reports, timelines, drawings, and specifications.
• Oversee project progress, ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage environmental compliance.
• Provide as-built records and maintenance manuals upon project completion.
• Estimate landfill provision and closure costs for budgeting purposes.
• Conduct project modelling and analysis for landfill and transfer station projects.
• Manage civil works and landfill rehabilitation projects, including cell and cap design.

Qualifications

Our Ideal Candidate would have:

• A minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in civil construction, environmental engineering, earthworks, landfills, resource recovery, mechanical processes, treatment plant design and construction or similar commercial engineering works.
• Track record in safety performance.
• Working knowledge of NZS 3910 (or similar) conditions of contract, contract administration and project cost management systems.
• Conceptual and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in the use of Autocad is preferable.
• Tertiary qualification/s in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar.
