Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan and implement landfill and site development projects.
- Coordinate audits, airspace reports, and construction modelling for landfill and transfer stations.
- Prepare Whole-of-Life estimates and infrastructure plans.
- Manage capital expenditure applications and monitor budgets.
- Develop pre-construction estimates, pricing, and costed schedules of quantities.
- Prepare contract documentation, technical reports, timelines, drawings, and specifications.
- Oversee project progress, ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage environmental compliance.
- Provide as-built records and maintenance manuals upon project completion.
- Estimate landfill provision and closure costs for budgeting purposes.
- Conduct project modelling and analysis for landfill and transfer station projects.
- Manage civil works and landfill rehabilitation projects, including cell and cap design.
Qualifications
Our Ideal Candidate would have:
- A minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in civil construction, environmental engineering, earthworks, landfills, resource recovery, mechanical processes, treatment plant design and construction or similar commercial engineering works.
- Track record in safety performance.
- Working knowledge of NZS 3910 (or similar) conditions of contract, contract administration and project cost management systems.
- Conceptual and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in the use of Autocad is preferable.
- Tertiary qualification/s in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar.
