Project Engineer - Innovative Company

A dynamic and innovative leader in New Zealand Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a highly skilled team based in the Manawatu. This exciting opportunity involves working alongside our Structures team on a significant highway project, connecting communities with a vital transport link between Ashurst and Woodville. Collaborating with our partners, we're building 11.5km of new highway, including six bridges, with two spanning 300m or more over the Manawatu River. The highway features two lanes in each direction and includes a shared use path for walkers and cyclists, with extensive planting across the project site.

The Project Engineer will be involved in:

• Providing technical and commercial support across various civil projects.
• Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards compliance.
• Assisting in programming, scheduling, procurement, and methodology development.
• Working on diverse projects including water and waste water plants, bridges, wharves, reservoirs, and piling.

We seek individuals with proven experience in the heavy civil/construction or infrastructure industry, coupled with a relevant academic background in Civil Engineering or a related field. Candidates should be adept at providing high-level technical and commercial support to Project Managers, demonstrating a strong commitment to Health & Safety. Exceptional time management skills are essential, along with excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset to thrive in our fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
