Project Manager

Connexa is New Zealand’s leading mobile tower infrastructure company, driven by a mission to enable a more connected digital future for Aotearoa New Zealand. We do this by designing, building and managing mobile sites across the country for telecommunications providers (like Spark and 2degrees) to expand their coverage efficiently and sustainably. Our tower portfolio of 2,500 covers Cape Reinga to Bluff and is the largest in New Zealand.

We are now looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our fast-growing team in New Zealand’s telecommunications passive infrastructure sector. As a provider of critical mobile infrastructure, our mission is to deliver a robust network that supports the needs of mobile network operators and deliver a better connected digital Aotearoa. In this role, you will join a tower delivery team that manages volume projects to roll out new mobile tower installations and upgrades across the country.

In your capacity as Project Manager, you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initiation through to closure alongside a Deployment Engineer and Property Acquisition Manager. This includes budget management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end project delivery for mobile infrastructure projects, ensuring milestones are met within budget and time constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to develop comprehensive project plans and strategies.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate project goals, updates, and outcomes effectively.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

• Strong experience as a Project Manager in infrastructure, construction, or telecom environments.
• Solid understanding of lean or continuous improvement
• Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Expertise in project management methodologies and tools.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing project budgets and resources.
• Willingness to travel as necessary (usually day trips)
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
