We plan, fundand deliver health services to the almost 600,000 people that live in theCanterbury region.Our primary goal is to put people at the heart of everythingwe do.Health NZ isa leading organization dedicated to delivering innovative healthcare solutionsand improving community health.We are committed to excellence in healthcarefacility design and delivery, ensuring that our projects meet the higheststandards of quality, safety, and efficiency.Mo te tunga About the roleThe ProjectManager - Design Delivery is a pivotal role responsible for providing healthplanning expertise for functional space planning on health facility projects,both locally and regionally.This role involves managing clinical engagement inthe design process and implementing change management principles based on bestpractice research and guidelines.The Project Manager ensures achievement ofproject objectives and milestones, managing risk and quality control throughoutthe project lifecycle, ensuring smooth transition to business as usual, toenable realization of benefits.KeyResponsibilities :Provide health planning expertise on the full range of care services including preventative, outpatient, acute, post-acute, and rehabilitation healthcare facilities, following best practice research and guidelines.Manage clinical engagement in health facility design through effective planning and coordination of clinical user groups to achieve robust clinical input into design.Provide technical assistance in business case formation, project set-up, work plan development, and budgeting as requested and appropriate.Ensure all stakeholders (staff, unions, community, Manawhenua, and other relevant consumers) can input into system design consistent with the requirements of the project.Lead various groups to ensure that process design drives building design and development requirements.Liaise with the Programme Manager and Clinical Lead(s) on progress, issues, and barriers.Challengethe status quo and demonstrate effective problem-solving to achieve qualityoutcomes that support best practise andmodel of care deliveryEstablishand maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders.Develop risk mitigation strategies for projects to ensure business continuity, minimizing clinical risk and adverse media.Identify, review, advise on the selection of vendors, sub-contractors, or consultants to meet project needs within Procurement policies and process.Understanding of clinical processes and practices in the health environment.Experience in implementing change in a complex environment.A strong process management philosophy.Relevant Tertiary or Health and / or management qualifications.Advanced MS Office suite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).Desired :Experience in clinical health planningClinical experienceExperience leading / managing a projectContinuous Quality Improvement experienceExperience in using project management software Mo matou About Us - Ko ngatangata, te matua mahi - Puttingpeople at the heart of all we do - We arecommitted to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles by ensuring ourpartnership with Maori are at the forefront of all our conversations.Webelieve in improving, promoting, and protecting the health and well-being ofthe Canterbury and the West Coast community.The cultureat Health NZ Waitaha Canterbury, is driven by our a Matou Uara (OurValue - - - - - - - s) :Care and respect for others - Manaaki me te whakaute i te tangata.Responsibility for outcomes - Te Takohanga i nga huaNga hua Benefits of working at Health NZ Te Whatu Ora When youwork at the Health NZ, you are part of a wider whanau that will support youalong your journey.We offer great coaching, mentoring and learning outcomesfor all staff.
