Experienced Project Manager required to join the Christchurch office of commercial construction main contractor.
Company: Leading commercial construction main contractor based dedicated to delivering high-quality projects with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in running commercial construction projects with a minimum value of $20 million.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of the project cycle, from early design and build engagement through to completion.
- Proficiency in construction planning and scheduling, including critical path project management.
- Experience working alongside QS teams to ensure procurement aligns with budget and programmed works.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and coordinate site teams, including site managers, supervisors, and workforce.
- Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental policies, with a commitment to implementation and compliance.
- Ability to ensure builds are in alignment with consented drawings and project specifications.
- Collaborative approach to work with teams to develop construction methodologies in alignment with program and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage commercial construction projects valued at $20 million or more, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with QS teams to ensure procurement activities align with project requirements and financial objectives.
- Lead and manage site teams, including site managers, supervisors, and workforce, to ensure efficient project execution and delivery.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies to maintain a safe working environment for all project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure builds are in alignment with consented drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Work closely with project teams to develop and refine construction methodologies that support project objectives and timelines.
Salary: $140,000 to $180,000 depending on experience.
