Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Lakes provides healthcare to a population of 112,000 people from its two general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupō, a top tourist area of New Zealand. We take pride in all our services we provide and aim to improve, promote and protect health in our region.
The Lakes region is a fantastic place to live and play, there are many spots to explore from geothermal wonderlands, to the stunning lakes in summer, skiing in winter down the road by Taupō, to the beach less than an hour away, and the infamous redwoods for grounding walks and fun mountain bike trails. You will enjoy the close high level support and training from Consultants and other senior medical staff. At Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Lakes you will be able to broaden your experience, reinforce and grow your skills.
The position is based at Rotorua and may work from any of the community sites including Taupō (if required).

We are interested in hearing from RMO’s that are eligible for, already hold a registration with Medical Council New Zealand.
You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at Medical Council New Zealand
Candidates who are not currently registered with the New Zealand Medical Council should be aware that it is a requirement of the NZ Medical Council that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
