Over the past 20 years our business has enjoyed major growth, and the TUFF team now consists of 120 across three businesses of the best people you will meet who are dedicated to excellence in servicing our clients across Queensland and Australia.

As part of our continued growth, we are currently seeking a qualified, skilled, and experienced Aluminum/Steel welder to join our esteemed team to join our Toowoomba factory. This pivotal role is responsible for performing various welding tasks in alignment with project specifications and industry standards. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality products within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and build diagrams to determine client requirements.
  • Select appropriate welding techniques and equipment for each task.
  • Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
  • Perform welding tasks using various methods such as MIG and TIG.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

 

Qualifications / Skills:

  • (Essential) Qualification – Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (Boilermaking)
  • Proven experience as a Welder, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven Experience in Aluminum and Steel Welding
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG Welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Excellent problem-solvent skills and the ability to independently or as part of a team.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocol and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to life and move heavy objects.
