Job Description - Quality Assurance Advisor - Training

Job Description

The opportunity:

The Quality Assurance Advisor will be based at an agreed Private Training Establishments (PTE) campus and manage the day-to-day quality assurance activities to ensure that the PTE complies with NZQA and WDC requirements.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Oversight of quality assurance policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Support staff in embedding QA processes, implementing systems for continuous improvement and self-assessment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-moderation planning activities, including staff training for effective implementation.
  • Collate assessment material for pre- and post-moderation submissions as requested.
  • Attend Managing Consistency Review events, collating and analysing relevant information for optimal outcomes.
  • Keep abreast of changes in NZQA and TEC’s policies and procedures, flagging academic and vocational risks in a timely manner.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • You have adegree inAdultEducation orsimilar or equivalent related experience.
  • You hold or are working toward unit standards 4098, 11551 and 11552 or equivalent.
  • You haveexperience ineducational quality assurance,moderation,and assessment.
  • You have worked with education andworkplacetraining systemsinteracting with the NZQA framework.
  • You have workedwith Excel or other analysis tools.
  • Your written and oral communication are excellent.
  • You have managed stakeholders and their expectations and have managed projects and change.
