Quality Assurance Manager

Prima Deli is a leading manufacturer of RTE products, specialising in sandwiches and bread based products.

An opportunity has become available to become part of this dynamic team.

We are looking for a driven and focused person to manage the food safety systems and health and safety systems, to ensure our high standards are maintained.

Key Functions:

* Monitor, maintain and implement quality, food safety and health and safety programmes.

* Lead, train, and induct staff to ensure broad ongoing compliance.

* Monitor performance of programmes.

* Oversee and maintain microbiological programmes

* Review and update HACCP, HSSE, and SOP.

* Assist new development with specification approvals and label creation.

* Review and prepare documentation for regulatory submission

* Conduct internal and external audits.

* Respond to any customer complaints.

This role provides flexibility of hours and days. The main production team works nightshift, and the role will require you to work a minimum of 24 hours per fortnight with the night shift team (8pm - 5am) to ensure systems and processes throughout production are maintained, and to maintain a culture of excellence with the team. The business works across 7 days per week and hours and days can be coordinated to best meet the needs of the business and the successful applicant.

You will work closely with the South Island's Quality Manager to ensure the national FCP is smoothly maintained.

This role will suit an experienced food safety manager, and requires a comprehensive understanding of HACCP systems management. The successful applicant will be qualified with a proven record in food safety, and will enjoy the challenges of working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
