Quality Assurance Technician

We're looking for a motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our Wellington Surfacing team.

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our projects meet the highest quality standards by undertaking quality assurance and quality control activities across surfacing and construction operations. You'll work closely with supervisors, engineers, and operational teams to monitor compliance, maintain accurate records, and support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

We're looking for someone who brings:

Essential

• Relevant tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Experience working within the civil construction, surfacing or infrastructure industry
• Full NZ Class 1 + WTR Endorsement (Class 2 Driver Licence advantageous)
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience maintaining accurate records and managing technical data
• Understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes
• Ability to identify risks and support compliance requirements in operational environments
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork

Desirable

• Knowledge of NZTA/Waka Kotahi specifications and requirements
• Experience developing or working with Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Familiarity with asphalt, sealing, surfacing or construction operations
• Experience collecting, analysing and reporting project quality data
