We are seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

Job Description:

As a Quantity Surveyor at Virtue, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of our construction projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes ensuring that projects are completed within budget, tendering, preparing cost estimates, and managing subcontractor payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
• Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
• Monitor and control project budgets and expenditures.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Assess and manage risks related to costs and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and manage interim and final accounts.
• Procurement 

Qualifications:

A qualification in Quantity Surveying with 1-3 years of experience is required. A good understanding of the standard New Zealand building contracts is required. Experience in the residential/retirement sector is a bonus. 

You should have a strong work ethic and be a team player with excellent time management, planning and organizational skills. You must be approachable, strong communication skills, be nimble and walk towards challenges.
