Mō te tūranga | About the role
The Hauraki Community and Visitor Team are looking for a Ranger to join our team in a varied, hands-on support role that suits someone who enjoys wearing different hats and being involved in a wide range of work.
This position is ideal for a confident, capable generalist who is comfortable engaging with people, supports team projects, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to everything they do.
You will assist across community engagement, permissions, and potentially education activities, providing practical and administrative support where needed.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships are essential, as this role has regular interaction with partners, volunteers, and the wider community. Experience with social media and digital communication would be a bonus, as there may be opportunities to support promotion and engagement work.
This is a dynamic role that suits someone adaptable, organised, and happy to contribute wherever the team needs support.
There may be an opportunity or need for the successful candidate to work out of the Kauaeranga Visitor Centre one day per week.
