About the business and the role

 

Receptionist /Typist with legal experience 

Garth O'Brien & Associates are seeking a Receptionist /Typist with legal experience to join their legal team. This is an inoffice position.

The successful Applicant will need to have the following attributes

  • Previous experience in a law firm supporting a solicitor
  • Proven ability in using Word, Outlook and Database management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confidence in dealing with clients
  • Have excellent time management and computer skills
  • Be accurate, well organised and efficient
  • Be a team player, willing to assist other staff when required.

The hours of work are 8:30 to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday

Job tasks and responsibilities

Telephone answering and greeting customers.

Attend to our Principal's documents and Estate and Will documents, 

Preparing legal documents, private invoicing, statement preparation and general typing.

Liaising with and ongoing reporting to Principal

Manage Principal's diary, emails and meetings

Opening, managing and closing client files in a database management system.

Manage bookings for Principal's travel and Professional Development.

Estate administration under the supervision of the Principal

Answering phones and following up queries

Skills and experience 

Professional telephone manner and customer greeting 

Office support experience and attending to queries.

Accurate and competent copy typist

Learning and proficiency using a legal client database 

Invoicing and statement preparation experience

MS office proficiency particularly Word, Outlook and Excel

Ability to demonstrate diary and file management 

Proven time management and multi tasking ability. 

Ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously
