About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi 

As a Recovery Partner within ACC's Remote Claims Unit, you will work alongside clients who require a dedicated one-to-one relationship due to intensive or extensive recovery needs. You will partner with clients for as long as they need support, helping them achieve positive rehabilitation outcomes and plan confidently for the future.

This role involves assessing complex information, arranging treatment and rehabilitation support, making sound decisions within policy frameworks, and coordinating services that enable successful recovery. Success in this role requires resilience, sound judgement, and the ability to navigate challenging situations while maintaining a professional, empathetic and client-focused approach.

You will engage with clients, whānau, providers, suppliers, and community agencies to deliver a holistic, coordinated and customer-centred recovery experience while contributing to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

The Remote Claims Unit is the name of this specialist team. While the team's physical location is not publicly disclosed for employee safety and wellbeing reasons, this is not a work-from-anywhere role. This is an office-based role and applicants must be willing and able to work from the designated location.

Salary  and Benefits:
The appointing salary for this role is $90,039 - $100,043 based on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.

About you | Mōu You will bring:

• Previous case management experience or experience working with vulnerable clients in a complex environment.
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build rapport, trust and credibility.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients, whānau, providers and community agencies.
• Sound decision-making capability and the ability to interpret and apply policy within complex situations.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage a demanding workload.
• Demonstrated resilience and emotional maturity, with the ability to manage challenging conversations, complex recovery journeys, and competing priorities while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
• Computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Experience influencing, negotiating and driving positive recovery outcomes.
• You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
