ECS’ head office and warehouse are based in Te Rapa, Hamilton.
About the Role
The ideal candidate would be based in Auckland to cover Auckland and north of Auckland region. This role will require regular travel within your region (Auckland and surrounding areas) visiting customers and discovering new business / project opportunities as well as one or two days a week you will need to be at the Hamilton office.
In your new role you will be mainly responsible for:
• Managing and growing customer relationships,
• Negotiating and constructing quotations.
• Expanding market share within your regions.
• Ensuring that relationships are maintained, and customer satisfaction is upheld to a high standard.
• Good reporting and analysis skills are essential for this role.
You will be reporting to the Sales Manager, where responsibilities will include:
• Managing a regular call cycle and expanding market share.
• Reporting and maintaining daily activities via CRM systems.
• Providing unbeaten service levels to our customers.
• You'll use your customer service and sales skills along with product knowledge to build effective customer relationships to achieve cross selling and to expand market share.
Your abilities must include:
• Electrical qualifications or at least 5 years spent in the electrical industry.
• Experience in machine automation or general industry knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to quickly build effective, trusting relationships, focusing on the customer’s service needs will be crucial.
• Previous experience in sales representation and prospecting / cold calling is preferred.
• Strong communicator, but more importantly able to listen and identify the customer’s needs.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise the day-to-day tasks.
• Drive and energy to become a high achiever.
• Strong communication skills including verbal, written and presentational skills.
• Good computer skills - word, excel and outlook are essential.
• Knowledge of SAP would be great.
• Current and clean full driver's license.
