The Children’s Emergency team at Starship is seeking motivated and experienced registered nurses to join the only dedicated ED in the country designed exclusively for the needs of children.
The Children’s Emergency Department specialises in meeting the needs of acutely ill or injured children and young people ranging from birth to 15 years of age. Our team works within a multidisciplinary framework including Hospital Play Specialists, Social Workers, Māori & Pacific Island support workers and clerical staff who work closely with the nursing and medical teams.
As a CED nurse you will experience our unique and rewarding work environment full of clinical support and professional development opportunities. You will work collectively to treat the 34, acute attendances the busy unit receives per year and learn a range of advanced skills along the way. You will join a resuscitation team and develop the ability to triage, whilst working amongst our purpose built facility with state of the art equipment.
