Regulatory and Pricing Analyst

Our client, a Whakatane based Electrical Distribution Business is looking for a Regulatory and Pricing Analyst which is a great opportunity to join a business that has employees that are empowered to make decisions, be innovative, engaged and inspired!

Key responsibilities include:

• Undertake monthly revenue and billing, including validation and assurance to ensure customers are correctly invoiced for actual line services provided.
• Undertake the annual pricing review for the Electricity Distribution Business and administer pricing records.
• Assist with the compliance and consultation processes as required for the business in regard to the Electricity Authority and Commerce Commission.
• Manage the registry interface, maintaining compliance with the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 to ensure all internal and external Installation Control Point records are continuously maintained and reconciled.
• Provide analytical expertise for revenue analysis, risk management and assurance measures as required for network line service operations.
• Reconcile and report on the network line losses monthly and provide analytics as required.

We are looking for:

• Tertiary Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or related industry trade qualification or significant relevant industry experience
• 5+ years’ prior senior analyst/reporting experience would be beneficial
• Practical MS Excel modelling & analytical experience is essential
• Experience with PowerBI is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Confidence to self-manage conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment or ask for guidance as needed
