Regulatory Support Officer

• Hybrid full-time role based in either Central / South / Northwest Auckland


• Provide admin and process support to regulatory engineers and specialists


• Salary range $59,594 to $70,110 + 3.5% KiwiSaver contributions

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland Council’s Regulatory Services division is looking for a motivated permanent full time Regulatory Support Officer. You will play a vital part in providing process support to the Regulatory Engineering Consent team. Through attention to detail and accuracy, you will be conveying and collating information in relation to the lodging - receipt, recording, and issuing of Engineering consents, and associated financial transactions. As well as offering administrative support to Engineers and specialists.

Your adherence to business rules and processes is essential. To ensure our systems are accurate and well-maintained, attention to detail will be vital. This will support the smooth processing of consent applications, financial processes, management of stakeholders, and responses to customer enquiries.

He kōrero mōu: About you

To be successful in this role you will be system savvy, able to easily adapt to new technology, and have previous experience in administration. Your excellent communication skills will help you excel in this customer-focused role. A proactive nature along with your great attention to detail and understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc) will strengthen your application. Having a good understanding of building legislation and previous SAP experience would make your application stand out.

Key skills and experience we are looking for:

• Excellent written and oral communication


• Previous experience in a business administration and Customer Service role


• Confidence around working with complex databases and information.

This team works collaboratively therefore your experience building and maintaining relationships will be key.
