As Reliability and Maintenance Supervisor of the recently refurbished Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), you will be responsible for leading and managing a skilled Maintenance team and advancing engineering . The role focuses on establishing 'Best Practice', leading process efficiency, innovation, and managing change for continuous improvement.
About the role:
- Implementation of a maintenance strategy to ensure the lowest Life Cycle Cost with the highest equipment effectiveness for the assets employed.
- Develop and implement an engineering strategy that underpins a site wide reliability strategy.
- MCR (Maintenance Cost as Ratio of conversion cost) maintained or improved.
- Development and implementation of the Reliability Strategy includes standardised processes and systems.
- Critical/regular spares reviews (maximise reliability with optimal inventory)
- Resource planning to achieve 60% Preventative/Corrective; 25% Predictive Routine; 5% Predictive; 10% Breakdown.
- Compliance with all appropriate standards
- Strong focus on reliability, drive formal CIP process and ensure improvement plans in place, on track, and according to agreed objectives.
- Hands on involvement on projects and breakdowns if required.
- Regular equipment condition audits (weekly, monthly, annually as required)
- Measure and audit the engineering work undertaken to maintain quality of incoming and outgoing product.
- Investigation of customer claims and implementation of corrective actions in conjunction with Operational Managers/Supervisors
- Managing compliance and quality improvement initiatives where required against contract specifications.
- Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology to any breakdown or quality issue exceeding the predetermined time / quality Metric.
- Ensure CMMS system is fully utilised to maintain all records and historical data relating to plant and equipment lifecycle operations.
- Champion any new maintenance techniques and strategies as required in line with Re- Group centralised engineering operations functions.
About you:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Similar Trade Qualified
- Previous Experience within a manufacturing/ production type facility.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement (CI) skills with a knowledge and understanding of CI principles.
- Demonstrated experience with staff leadership and motivation.
- Demonstrated experience in CMMS systems
- Good understanding of te ao Maori and /or the right approach to learn and enhance your knowledge
