Opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Reliability Mechanical Engineer to join the Reliability Maintenance Team at our Kinleith Mill based in Tokoroa. Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Manager, this role will provide reliability maintenance and operational expertise and support to the assigned business units so that the overall mill business objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Increase mill reliability performance through improved reliability maintenance practices.
2. Scope, provide guidance, and oversee mechanical reliability improvement projects.
3. Ensure delivery of reliability maintenance execution is in line with asset strategy.
4. Take action to solve reliability maintenance problems through RCA processes to prevent re-occurrence.
5. Develop mid/long-term reliability strategies for equipment used widely in the plant.

About You

Requirements:

• A relevant Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• Experience in strategically delivering predictive and preventative engineering in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• High level of technical competency, project/team management, and communication skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat exchangers, pumps, motors, valves, digesters, and/or heavy industrial process equipment.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Have a working knowledge of good manufacturing practice, health & safety, and quality awareness.
