The Centre for Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CAMRI) is the first MRI venture in New Zealand to focus on high-end research work as well as clinical training and specialist clinical imaging.

Drawing on a successful track record of university research, CAMRI also delivers MRI and ultrasound research expertise and resources to leading commercial and government organisations.

CAMRI works with a wide range of clients including Hospitals, University researchers, and the private sector and have been involved in many national and worldwide clinical trials. The Centre is Accredited by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ), is an Affiliated Provider for private health providers, and a high-tech imaging provider for the Accident Compensation Corporation

Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Clinic Administrator to join our team at CAMRI.  You will have great people skills, with the ability to navigate a patient management and booking system.  You will be part of the Team being the first point of contact for patients, doctors and researchers. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Actioning patient referrals.
  • Scheduling MRI appointments between different e-platforms and in coordination with MRI technologists, other clinicians, insurance providers or research coordinators and the patients or research participants.
  • Providing patients/participants and their whanau, researchers, volunteers, and all other visitors a warm and professional reception at CAMRI.
  • Manage incoming communications efficiently, responding to requests within the agreed timeframe.
  • Compiling and sending MRI reports to referring practitioners and researchers.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiency.

This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent position. The salary range for this role is between $54,405 - $65,700 dependent on skills and experience.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience with Practice Management Systems who thrives working in a face-to-face environment.

You will need the following skills and experience:

  • Prior administration work experience.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment beneficial, particularly in a radiology or medical practice.
  • Familiarity with reception work, and customer service environments.
  • Comfortable using computer-based booking systems.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • A strong team player.
  • Able to work to, and meet, deadlines.
  • Highly accurate for data entry, a detail-oriented, careful worker.
  • Knowledge of some medical terminology.
  • Able to show initiative and prioritise tasks effectively
