Job Description - General Manager - Digital and Innovation
Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity
We are seeking a visionary and action-oriented General Manager – Digital and Innovation to lead the delivery of our digital strategy and transform how we use technology to serve communities.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you’ll be at the forefront of change — embedding digital solutions that are people-centred, equity-enhancing, and fit for the future.
As a Leadership Team member, you will also play an important role in collaborating with all levels of management in implementing, monitoring, and reviewing organisational strategy.
You’ll play a critical role in:
Strengthening support for vulnerable communities and frontline primary care teams
Identifying opportunities for innovation and taking initiative to deliver impact
Driving collaboration across regions to ensure digital transformation is sustainable and inclusive
Ensuring positive relationship management with all stakeholders
He kōrero mōu: About you
An understanding of digital transformation in complex, people-centred environments.
Proven leadership experience in digital, data, or technology roles.
Experience in technological innovation, ideally with emerging tech such as AI and loT/wearables.
Experience designing and delivering strategies that balance innovation, operations, equity, and sustainability.
Strategic thinker and technically literate.
Strong relationship building skills.
Culturally responsive, committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working in partnership with Māori
