Job Description - Schools Partnership Manager

Do you remember doing the World Vision 40 hour challenge as a young person? Join our Schools & Youth team at World Vision and play a role in offering internationally focused social justice action for rangatahi in Aotearoa. As a Schools Fundraising Manager (Schools Partnership Manager), you will be directly engaging with schools, building strong relationships with teachers and their student leaders. Your role is critical in developing their participation and fundraising efforts.


 


You will have the unique opportunity to impact the lives of the students you work with, as well as the lives of vulnerable children supported through World Vision.

What you’ll be doing: 


 



  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with schools, World Vision 40 Hour Challenge Organisers and student leaders to foster an understanding of social justice and participate in raising funds for World Vision’s work.  

  • Provide day-to-day management and leadership for a Youth Ambassador, ensuring they are effective and inspiring in their engagements. 

  • Deliver key projects and events for kura and youth groups that deepen their engagement with World Vision.

About you:   


 



  • Understanding and passion for social justice issues.  

  • Ability to coordinate and lead groups of people to achieve specific outcomes.  

  • Ability to develop high-quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Experience in fundraising, sales, or account management.  

  • Understanding of the education sector, how schools' function and experience working effectively with young people.  

  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Excellent organisational skills.  

  • Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office Suite and evolving technologies. 

  • Prepared and able to travel regularly to cover the region, and able work flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend activities.

  • Home office with strong Wi-Fi connection to enable work-from-home (WFH). 

  • Current eligibility to work in New Zealand.

Location and Hours  



  • Based in Wellington Central city office. On-site parking available.   

  • Full-time, Permanent position. 37.5hrs per week.   

  • Monday – Friday, with some evening and weekend work, and overnight travel across the region.

  • Hybrid work model available under negotiation. 


  


Eligibility  



To be eligible for this role you must have current entitlement to work in New Zealand, and a full New Zealand drivers licence
