Job Description - Remote Senior Resource Consents Planner

Remote Resource Consents Planner

Are you ready to make an impact as a Remote Resource Consents Planner? This forward-thinking council is looking for a skilled professional to administer and implement statutory obligations related to resource consenting. Reporting to the Team Leader – Resource Consents, you will process consent applications, guide junior staff, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently process consent applications within statutory timeframes.
Assist in training and deputising for the Principal Planner.
Supervise the notification processes for applications.
Provide planning reports and expert evidence as needed.
Contribute to Civil Defence duties if required.
Uphold Health & Safety guidelines.

Requirements:

Degree in Resource Management Planning.
6+ years’ experience in planning/resource management.
Membership or eligibility for membership in the NZ Planning Institute.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work remotely and build stakeholder relationships.
