STEM PhDs - Engineering

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

We are seeking Engineering PhDs to contribute to a cutting-edge project with a leading AI research lab. This role offers competitive pay of $65–$75/hour.

In this position, you will apply your expertise to craft high-quality, challenging problems with real-world applicability, helping to advance frontier large language models and shape the next generation of AI systems.

Ideal Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Engineering from a top university
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent proficiency in English
• Based in U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand

Key Responsibilities

• Work asynchronously with a team of domain experts
• Craft, solve, and review challenging, real-world engineering problems
• Contribute 10–20 hours per week, with potential for increased hours and project extension
• Fully remote with a flexible schedule

Start Date

• Late September, with rolling application review

Interview Process

• Short interview to assess domain expertise
• Paid onboarding time (up to 1 hour) including screening and onboarding videos if hired

Compensation & Legal Details

• Legally classified as an hourly contractor
