Job Description - Retail Sales Consultant - Dynamic Team

We are in search of a reliable Retail Sales Consultant to join our awesome team at Roberts Heritage Ltd in Botany Downs, Auckland.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Consultant to join our team based in Botany, Auckland. This role assists in achieving profitable and sustainable growth for the branch and contributes to the company's overall development and performance. This role is for a  Monday to Saturday roster 40 hours per week, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store. 
  • Greet customers warmly and give them undivided attention. 
  • Showcase knowledge of the sales process from initiation to completion. 
  • Set personal sales goals aligned with Branch targets. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure thorough customer follow-up. 
  • Handle administrative and shipping tasks upon sale completion. 
  • Encourage the use of accessories among customers. 
  • Regularly follow up on customer quotes. 
  • Maintain up-to-date Branch displays with accurate stock and pricing. 
  • Place inventory orders as directed by the Branch Manager. 
  • Stay current with administrative duties such as sales orders and credit notes. 
  • Keep sample rack, storeroom, and showroom clean and organised. 
  • Propose innovative ideas to refresh the showroom and share them with the Manager and team. 
  • Review mystery shopper/survey feedback to improve personal performance. 
  • Perform daily opening/closing tasks as instructed by the Branch Manager. 
  • Assist in warehouse operations as needed for packing and loading orders. 
  • Provide support in the Trade area when necessary. 
  • Fulfill any additional tasks delegated by the Branch Manager as required. 

As the successful candidate, you will have: 

  • Product and product application knowledge. 
  • Knowledge of sales process. 
  • Industry knowledge, including company policies, procedures, and competitor operations. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different people. 
  • Ability to present self, company, and product professionally. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy - particularly relating to the quote-to-sale process. 
  • Physically fit (as heavy lifting is part of the role).           
  •  A forklift license is an advantage.
