Job Description - Risk Account Manager - Auckland (NZ)

The role and what we are looking for

Reporting to the Sales Manager – New Zealand, this role is responsible for autonomously driving business growth and retention for a portfolio of customers across the Auckland and top of South Island including some regional areas.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Generating new business opportunities from a large, existing customer base.
  • Retaining existing business by adding value to the customers through the provision of a proactive and personalised account management experience.
  • Developing and expanding the existing customer portfolio through new customer acquisition, cross-selling and up-selling; and
  • Forming meaningful relationships with both internal and external customers to ensure a value driven approach.

  • Sales and field experience (essential);
  • Risk protection or insurance sales experience (desirable);
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills;
  • Interest in and ability to travel across the lower North Island regularly (including overnight stays);
  • This is a field and home-based role, therefore the ability to territory manage and be on the road most days is essential; and
  • A proven capability to work autonomously and deliver results.

Additionally, the successful candidate will live in the area.
