Step into a Risk Advisory Specialist role within the Line 2 Risk Advisory and Assurance team. This is a dynamic role, where you’ll analyse risk information, use your curiosity and work with stakeholders to support well-informed decisions.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals while building your own capability, contributing to meaningful work that supports our customers, communities and business outcomes.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) or Ōtautahi (Christchurch).

Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do

• Partner with Senior Specialists within the team to deliver risk insights aligned to IAG’s risk appetite, policies and frameworks


• Support oversight of conduct and operational risks, such as technology, third party, business continuity, fraud, projects and data aligned to policies and standards


• Support the oversight of risk events and issues by gathering information, assessing management responses and identifying potential gaps


• Contribute to risk assessments and risk class deep dives by gathering information and documenting observations


• Help uplift risk maturity by supporting business understanding and accountability of the risk management lifecycle through engagement

• Experience in consulting, risk, governance, assurance or a related environment, with the ability to apply structured thinking and sound judgement to complex situations 


• Strong critical thinking and judgement, with the ability to identify gaps, risks and areas of exposure 


• Confident communication skills, with the ability to respectfully challenge, influence and ask the right questions


• A collaborative mindset with a genuine desire to learn, grow and contribute to team success


• Ability to interpret information and translate it into clear, practical insights (not purely technical or data-heavy analysis) 


• Exposure to financial services, insurance, or a regulated environment is beneficial but not essential
