POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Rostering Clerk is responsible for ensuring the effective management and coordination of rosters and payroll within OACIS operations at Auckland Airport.

Position Purpose:

To be the direct point of contact for operations and clients in relation to roster management and payroll 

Coordinate development and ongoing coverage of all rosters. 

Liaise with operational departments, Service Delivery Managers and Duty Managers 

Monitor effective use of resources against available budgets. 

Support supervisors to ensure appropriate rostering and required coverage, inclusive of sick leave coverage 

Manage sick leave calls and work with the operational team to identify the appropriate coverage 

Risk manage any ad hoc leave as required 

Ensure annual leave programs in place and appropriately forecasted Participate in agreed after hours handover processes. 

Ensure appropriate rostering of resources with work related injuries or long-term sick leave on return-to-work programs. 

Roster and facilitate other leave requirements as necessary.

Essential Experience

Payroll experience for small to medium tier organisations

Rostering for large groups is desirable 

Exceptional customer service skills

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

Problem-solving abilities

 Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

Professional appearance and demeanour

Strong teamwork and collaboration 

Airlines operations is desirable

Skills & Competencies 

Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face. 

 Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience 

Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally 

Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members

Time management/organisation: ensure that you are always punctual and accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties in an efficient and timely manner.
