Job Description - Sales Consultant

Roles are available in Auckland, New Zealand

Base Salary = $66,365

Full time role with 40 hours per week.

From our humble beginning in 2007 with our first shop only fitting 99 bikes in the store, we are now the largest bicycle retailer in Australia & stretch across the globe with retail stores in the UK & NZ. 99 Bikes has a loyal customer base with over 75,000 Club 99 Members in New Zealand, speaking to the incredible customer experience we provide in store alongside offering a huge range of great value products. 

 

Our vision is to be “The World’s Most Approachable Bike Shops”. Our shop teams are filled with driven consultants on the sales floor & skilled mechanics in the workshop. We find the outcomes that our customers want & reward our people for doing this.

About The Role:

 

Teamwork

  • Excelling in your assigned Directorship responsibilities and maintaining general duties to ensure store success
  • Adhere to systems, procedures and rules for teamwork and communication
  • Positive Attitude = seek to understand, embrace feedback, no externalizing, we are 1 team.
  • Contributing to any and all tasks to bring success for the team
  • Upholding a professional and respectful manner during work hours, during designated functions, and anytime you are wearing your uniform
  • Weekly attendance at the stores Weekly Business Meeting (“WBM”)
  • Working by our 10x Philosophies (on The Waoku)
  • Engaged in morning daily huddle and Kōrero

 

Quality Control & Safety

  • Ensure all bikes leaving the store meet safety standards and have an M-Check
  • Maintain OHS Standards, Cleanliness & Processes
  • Be aware of personal safety requirements and use the OH+S resources


 

Customer Communication & Satisfaction

  • Serve all customers using the 99 Bikes ‘Sales Process’ & ‘Workshop Book In Process’
  • Contact customers with regular updates throughout when applicable
  • Follow 99 Bikes ‘Yellow Card’ System to high standards of communication with customers


 

Individual Performance, Development & Training

  • The Buddy Program (2x Buddy Books) must be completed within 90 Days of commencement
  • Complete Buddy Books 
  • Set daily, monthly & yearly goals and actions
  • Develop product knowledge and sales ability through independent learning, listening to feedback and any training that 99 Bikes offers


 

 


 

Stock Processes

  • Follow 99 Bikes Ordering Rules detailed on ‘The Waoku’
  • Receive all PO’s and conduct Store Relabels as required
  • Embody a Stock Is Cash mentality
  • Assist with Rolling Stocktakes

 

Meeting and Exceeding KPIs

  • Minimum Stage Modified of $14500  as a rolling 13 stage average
  • NPS maintained above 50 on a rolling 3 stage average

To Be Successful In This Role You Need:

 

  • Solid proven achievements. These can be demonstrated in personal goals, sporting or through study & work. We value a successful track record & drive.
  • Minimum of 6 months work experience in the same industry with proven sales skills in bicycles,
  • sporting equipment, or a related business.
  • A past history demonstrating commitment, reliability, continual improvement & learning.
  • Good communication skills & demonstrated success in developing & maintaining good relationships.
