YOUR ROLE

As an Anaesthesia Critical Care Sales Consultant at Obex, your mission will be to meet and exceed sales targets by leveraging your expert knowledge in anaesthesia and critical care, combined with outstanding sales skills and a deep commitment to building strong customer relationships. You will work closely with Product Managers and the leadership team to implement strategies that support our vision of improving clinical outcomes for patients in New Zealand. Your role will involve providing technical and clinical support for our range of anaesthesia and critical care products, managing your assigned territory effectively, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies. You’ll be a key representative of Obex, delivering exceptional service and support to our healthcare customers.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing and executing effective sales strategies tailored to the anaesthesia and critical care market.
  • Foster robust customer relationships with healthcare professionals, understanding their specific needs and providing solutions that enhance patient care.
  • Provide in-depth technical and clinical support for our anaesthesia and critical care products, demonstrating a thorough understanding of their applications in clinical settings.
  • Execute strategic territory management by identifying and capitalising on growth opportunities and addressing potential risks.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in anaesthesia and critical care, sharing insights with your team to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maximise your presence at industry events such as medical conferences and training sessions to engage with key opinion leaders and expand your professional network.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and regulatory requirements ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining a safe working environment.

ABOUT YOU

To excel in this role, you should be a self-motivated and values-driven professional with a solid background in anaesthesia or critical care, combined with a passion for sales and customer service. You will be strategically agile, customer-centric, and capable of working independently while also thriving as part of a team. Strong communication skills, a knack for prioritising tasks, and the ability to interpret and act on data are essential. Experience in the New Zealand healthcare sector, especially in roles directly related to anaesthesia or critical care, will be highly advantageous.

  • Anaesthesia or critical care expertise : You have a clinical background as a registered nurse, anaesthetist, or allied health professional with specific experience in anaesthesia or critical care.
  • Proven sales acumen : You have a successful track record in sales within the healthcare sector, preferably in medical devices or pharmaceuticals related to anaesthesia and critical care.
  • Exceptional communication skills : You excel at articulating complex technical information clearly and effectively to a variety of healthcare stakeholders.
  • Analytical and data-driven : You can analyse sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive business success.
  • Customer-focused : You are dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of healthcare professionals and enhancing patient outcomes.
  • Resilient and adaptable : You thrive in dynamic environments, can handle pressure, and adapt swiftly to changes and challenges within the healthcare landscape.
