SALES CONSULTANT - PREMIUM KITCHEN & LAUNDRY APPLIANCES

Kitchen Things is no ordinary appliance retailer - we are New Zealand's specialist in premium European cooking appliances.  Our nationwide retail stores showcase and sell brands including Sub Zero, Wolf, Gaggenau, ASKO, Liebherr, Miele, Smeg, Neff, Bosch, Samsung and more. Within our stores we even have cooking theatres to host events including customer pre and post purchase technology classes - a huge asset to help sales consultants with the customer buying decision.

Our founder and founding chair pioneered the introduction of premium European cooking appliances to New Zealanders almost 40 years ago.  To this day our company remains proudly New Zealand - 100% family owned and operated, along with our sister companies, Applico and Jones Services (appliance import, distribution, installation and servicing).  Together we are known as The Jones Family Business and many of our team have been with us for over 10 years - something we know as we celebrate everyone's anniversary.

Kitchen Things is looking for a dynamic Sales Consultant to join our amazing Mount Wellington team.

THE ROLE

As a high performing sales professional, you will be promoting the world’s leading cooking and laundry brands to our customers.  Our main focus is providing complete kitchen and/or laundry appliance packages, and we also complete one off replacement sales. We deal extensively with designers and their clients, repeat customers, and also walk in consumers.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

For this role, we are looking for a team player with a minimum of two years proven retail sales or customer service experience, not necessarily in the appliance industry, but a passion for appliances and/or cooking would be an advantage.

KEY ATTRIBUTES

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets          


• Passion for delivering a personalised customer experience with each interaction


• Proficient in effectively communicating within the high-end market, with a strong ability to engage with premium clients


• Passion for learning and assisting customers with selecting the right appliances for their requirements


• Strong follow up ethic and manner


• Professional know how to build strong rapport and represent the business (through training and coaching)
