Sales Consultant - Urgent

We are looking for a naturally organised sales superstar who will nurture client relationships and help us grow our business. You will be the sole office-based salesperson so there’s loads of scope to become a vital team member and make the role your own. You’ll need to be able to form relationships quickly and instil a high level of confidence. If you’re at ease talking to business owners, buyers and execs - and just as happy to have a laugh with delivery drivers and the warehouse gang - then this could be the job for you. You’ll need to be a people person first and foremost, but you’ll also have a sharp business mind and a keen sense for opportunity.  The successful candidate will be working in a tight knit team, with a flat structure, and report directly to the directors of the business. 

Sales Consultant role:

• Makes routine outbound sales calls to encourage customer restocking 
• Takes ownership of key client relationships and ensures client retention
• Delivers product training and sales presentations to key customers
• Looks for opportunities to grow sales figures with existing customers
• Looks for new channels and opportunities and takes the lead in customer acquisition
• Introduces new products through speaking opportunities and customer contact

Ideally you will have:

• A related degree (in Business or Commerce)
• Min. 5-years' experience in a sales rep or key accounts role
• Frontline sales experience
• Solid general knowledge of the New Zealand business landscape
• Knowledge of cleaning distributors, packaging distributors and office/catalogue resellers
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• An analytical mind and attention to detail
• Sharp presentation skills
