About the Role:
As Sales Manager, you’ll be the on-the-ground leader for our Napier office, reporting to the General Manager of Residential Sales. Your focus will be on driving performance, growth, and market share through strong leadership and strategic execution. You’ll lead a talented team of agents, champion our brand locally, and ensure Bayleys remains the go-to name in Napier residential real estate.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Performance – Lead weekly sales meetings, coach agents, and drive listings and GCI growth while maintaining fee integrity
Business Development & Client Relationships – Implement growth strategies, build strong client relationships, and expand Bayleys’ presence in Napier
Marketing & Brand Leadership – Deliver local marketing initiatives, champion digital adoption, and ensure vendor marketing budgets are met
Recruitment & Team Growth – Attract and onboard top talent, support retention, and implement structured training and development
Financial Management – Monitor budgets, commissions, and marketing spend, ensuring fiscal discipline and accurate reporting
Skills & Experience:
Proven leadership experience managing real estate sales teams
Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
Commercially astute with budget management experience
Knowledge of Napier and Hawke’s Bay residential property markets
Tech-savvy with modern real estate systems and data-driven performance management
