As a Sales Operations Lead based at the Dunedin Hub, you'll be the key link between our global markets and New Zealand-based operations, ensuring customer requirements are delivered while supporting Silver Fern Farms' broader sales and growth strategies.
Working closely with in-market teams, customers, logistics, production scheduling, and sales leadership, you'll coordinate day-to-day sales execution, manage customer communications, and help deliver exceptional service across your designated market portfolio.
You'll be responsible for analysing pricing and margins, supporting commercial decision-making, coordinating supply chain requirements, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and customer outcomes. You'll also contribute to market development initiatives, new product opportunities, and strategic growth activities that strengthen Silver Fern Farms' position in market.

We're looking for someone who combines strong commercial capability with a customer-focused approach, along with:
- Two years’ experience in sales, account management, commercial operations, or a related role
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence working with pricing, margins, and market opportunities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- A proven ability to build and maintain effective customer and stakeholder relationships
- A customer-first mindset with the ability to take ownership and resolve issues effectively
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Experience within food production, agribusiness, export, or a related industry would be advantageous

Responsibilities- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve export sales targets.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

- Monitor and evaluate sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and sales processes, maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide regular reports and insights on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of sales team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales operations or management role, preferably in the food industry or a similar export-focused environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing sales teams, driving sales growth, and achieving targets.
- Excellent knowledge of sales principles, negotiation techniques, and account management best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools to track and analyze sales performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required for business development and client meetings.
