Sales Manager – Minginui Nursery
Minginui Nursery is seeking a Sales Person to play a key role in its native plant nursery based at Minginui on the edge of Whirinaki Te Pua–a–Tane Conservation Park in the beautiful Bay of Plenty.

This is a permanent full-time position; however flexible working arrangements are negotiable for the right applicant.
Reporting to the Nursery Manager Business, the Sales Person will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Prospecting potential customers through networking, and other lead generating methods, using both traditional and modern sales techniques.
- Achieving sales targets including proactively securing tenders and contract sales.
- Working collaboratively with the Management Team to review and or develop strategies to optimise overall performance.
- Networking and market research, staying up to date with trends and developments within the industry.
- Attending sales meetings, conferences, and other industry events to promote the business.
- Work collaboratively to ensure the dispatch of plants to customers is met, i.e. implementing a weekly work plan to ensure maximum sales and dispatch efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A proven sales record
- Effective negotiation skills
- Tendering and Contracts skills
- Planning, strategy, and report writing skills
- Project management and resource allocation skills
- Strong oral and communication skills
- A knowledge of native plants is desirable.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
