Holdson is Australasia’s leading jigsaw puzzle maker, an expert manufacturer and exporter of high-quality puzzles and games plus a strong importer of leading toy lines such as Sylvanian Families, Airfix, Wahu, Playmobil, and Make It Real to name a few.  The company is looking for an outstanding Territory Sales Representative to join its team. 

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you'll take charge nurturing existing customer relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities. Your territory will be your domain as you strive to maintain market dominance and explore avenues for expansion. We're seeking a proactive, personable individual with a can-do attitude to become the go-to person for our valued customers.   Our "roll up your sleeves and get the job done" approach to work creates an environment where self-starters and problem solvers thrive. 

We need someone who is charismatic & confident in their abilities, who loves being in front of customers, to truly understand their business and how you can contribute.  Someone who can really make the role their own who offers enthusiasm, passion, and a willingness to take ownership.   You must be hungry for an opportunity and challenged and inspired by closing a sale. 

The ability to work autonomously, organise & plan your time effectively will be crucial to your success in this role.  There is a high level of travel required with much of your time spent on the road, typically Monday to Friday business hours, plus there is a requirement for occasional weekend work at expo’s, conferences or trade shows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers to drive sales
  • Proactively identify and pursue new accounts, tapping into diverse sectors 
  • Maximise and grow our revenue, market share and brand presence.
  • Achieve and/or exceed set sales budgets 
  • Working closely and collaboratively with our sales team, customer service, warehouse and factory teams.
  • To maintain Holdson presence in-stores to a high standard, whilst proactively seeking additional space for the Holdson brands where possible.
  • Build and leverage strong relationships with store managers to influence inventory (minimum product quantities and allocations) and display.
  • To maintain and grow existing customer relationships within your specified territory including consistent and regular visits with pre-set call cycle. Out of town is required: 8-10 days per month
  • Record learnings/insights and call objectives in CRM. Leverages pre/post-call process to enhance customer engagement and impact territory performance. Maintains account/customer data/information in CRM. 
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset, is self- directed and open to coaching/feedback.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • A desire to proactively drive sales, achieve and exceed targets
  • Great communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to function constructively within a team environment, as well as work autonomously. 
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative 
  • The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A valid driver’s license
