Sales Representative - Automotive - Collaborative Environment

A BIT ABOUT US:

Formula Distribution wholesales products to the Automotive and Consumer electronics industry, supplying many popular accessory brands to retail and online stores nationwide. 

THE ROLE:

An exciting sales rep position with cool products to sell! As a Sales Representative at Formula you will be calling on our existing customer base of car audio retailers, auto electrical stores, GPS resellers, automotive paint retailers, and car alarm and installation, stores across your designated territory in the North Island.

With an Auckland-based office in East Tamaki, the call cycle is approximately 6 weeks and will include a mixture of out-of-town travel, calling on local Auckland customers, and time spent in the office, with company car, phone and laptop provided.

A BIT ABOUT YOU:

Previous sales experience, whether it be in wholesale, distribution or retail would be ideal, as well as being confident in your ability to close sales, achieve targets and develop relationships with the customers in your territory. You'll be a go-getter, with a hunger to get ahead in your sales career and:

• Have a background in the automotive industry or an interest in vehicles (not essential but would certainly be a bonus)
• Be comfortable contacting customers both in person and by phone, and attending to their sales requirements, with accurate order processing, and providing product information
• Have a high level of self-motivation where you work well autonomously and are comfortable managing call cycles
• Natural ability to build rapport with people, and a real passion for sales
• Must be available to travel 6-9 days per month, with overnight stays, with expenses/allowances provided
