Sales Representative - Book and Gift Market

Bookreps NZ is one of NZ’s leading book wholesalers.  It has been supplying product into a wide range of book and gift retailers nationally for over 25 years, has built up a strong customer base and enjoys an excellent reputation in the market.

Role Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Sales Representative to drive sales and build strong relationships with our customers in the book and gift market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books , excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Think outside the box to identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the book and gift market
• Achieve sales targets and outcomes within schedule
• Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Sales Representative or similar role
• Familiarity with the book and/or gift market would be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of MS Office
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
• Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
• Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
• Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
• NZ Drivers license

This is a field sales role based in Auckland but will require some overnight and multiday travel on the North Island. The successful candidate will manage their own trips and timing for trips (within the normal sell cycles).
