Security Officer - Nights

This role is based at Pukekohe Hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a visible and approachable security presence throughout assigned locations during night shifts.


• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, alarms, and emergencies to ensure a safe environment for all.


• Carry out regular security patrols, checking for unauthorised access, suspicious activity, or health and safety risks.


• Accurately document and report incidents, hazards, and security concerns using company systems.


• Maintain high standards of professionalism and demonstrate Red Badge Group’s values at all times.


• Promote an inclusive and respectful environment for staff, students, visitors, and the wider community.


• Support compliance with all site health and safety procedures and emergency protocols.


• Act as a key contact point for after-hours enquiries and provide guidance or assistance as required.

Requirements:

• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to maintain focus throughout overnight hours.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Strong decision-making abilities and a calm, professional approach in emergencies.


• Previous experience in security or customer service is advantageous, but not essential.


• Proven ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.


• High attention to detail, with clear written and verbal English skills.


• Physically fit, capable of patrolling and standing for extended periods.


• Green COA Security Licence is an advantage. If you do not have one, we can assist suitable applicants to obtain it (must be 18+, eligible to work in NZ, and have a clear criminal history).
