Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager

About the role:

We are working closely with a progressive mid-sized Christchurch based chartered accounting firm requiring a senior BAS Accountant - in fact, they will look at someone up to Assistant Manager level.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing annual financial statements & associated compliance
• Producing GST, FBT, Income Tax returns
• Preparing client advisory documents
• Producing business valuations
• Analysing accounts and offering meaningful advice to (higher value) clients
• Preparation of management reports, budgets and forecasts
• Providing systems advice
• Managing team workflow

Skills & experience:

• CA Qualified.
• 3+ years accounting experience with a NZ CA firm.
• 3+ years of NZ Tax filing experience. 
• Ability to visit and consult with clients.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to extract information from various IT systems.
• High standard of work, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Be able to hit the ground running.
• Strong Excel, Word, and report writing skills.
